THE MAGICIAN

The power within.

The Magician stands at the moment when possibility becomes intention.

He is the bridge between Spirit and Matter — the figure who takes what exists as thought, desire or imagination and begins to give it form.

THE ACT OF CREATION.

The Fool has stepped into the unknown. His first encounter is with the Magician — a figure of transformation, knowledge and conscious will.

Before him lie the four elemental tools, but the true instrument is the Magician himself: the consciousness capable of bringing separate forces into harmony and directing them toward a purpose.

His lesson is simple but demanding. Desire alone creates nothing. Thought must become intention, intention must become effort, and effort must become action.

Only then can imagination take form.

DETAILS & SYMBOLS

Each element reveals a layer of meaning.

THE HOLLOW EIGHT

At the centre of the Magician's chest, the hollow figure-eight becomes both infinity and gateway. It evokes the ceaseless flow of creation and the esoteric idea of the Light Body — a vessel through which Spirit may radiate into Matter. The opening suggests that illumination is not something possessed, but something allowed to pass through.

THE SERPENT

Around the figure coils the serpent of kundalini — a symbol of awakened energy, transformation and renewal. Yet the serpent also carries a warning: power can heal or poison, awaken or consume. The Magician's task is not simply to release energy, but to direct it consciously.

THE SUN, MOON & HALO

Behind the Magician, the Sun and Moon meet within an alchemical fire, representing opposing forces brought into union: light and darkness, conscious and unconscious, active and receptive. The circular disc also forms a halo behind his head, recalling traditional images of spiritual illumination and Christ-like figures. Yet this sacred appearance remains ambiguous: is the Magician truly enlightened, or does he merely appear to be?

THE FOUR TOOLS

Before him lie the traditional instruments of the Magician: the Grail — Water, the Wand — Fire, the Coins — Earth, and the Sword — Air. They represent the four elemental forces of manifestation. The Magician himself becomes the fifth element — Spirit — the consciousness capable of bringing them into harmony.

THE FALSE LEVITATION

The Magician appears to float, yet he is seated upon his own cape. The apparent miracle is partly an illusion. This detail questions the difference between genuine transformation and theatrical appearance. Power can inspire wonder, but it can also deceive. True mastery requires discernment.

THE DEVIL BENEATH

Hidden beneath the table is the Devil's shadow, representing the danger contained within power itself. The same forces that create can also manipulate or destroy. The shadow is not separate from the Magician but belongs to his own potential. True transformation requires not the denial of darkness, but its recognition and integration.

AS ABOVE, SO BELOW

In the Hermetic tradition, the Magician embodies the relationship between the invisible and the visible — between thought and form, Spirit and Matter. The principle of As Above, So Below suggests that different levels of existence reflect one another.

In alchemical terms, he represents the conscious beginning of the Great Work: the moment when raw potential is no longer merely accepted but deliberately transformed through knowledge, discipline and action.

In psychological terms, the Magician embodies the awakening of conscious agency — the ability to recognize one's inner forces, confront the shadow and direct intention toward meaningful creation.

Yet his power remains ambiguous. The Magician may become a creator, a healer or a deceiver. His deepest challenge is not simply to acquire power, but to discover how and why he chooses to use it.

A UNIQUE FINISH FOR EVERY SCULPTURE

Each sculpture is individually hand-finished. Subtle variations in colour, bronze tones, patina and surface texture make every piece unique. The photographs illustrate the character of each finish; the final appearance may vary slightly from the examples shown.

THE HIDDEN LABYRINTH

The journey continues beneath the sculpture.

Beneath every statue lies a labyrinth — the hidden symbol of our inner journey, the secret path belonging only to each soul who dares to walk it.

No two lives follow the same route. The path turns, returns, divides and surprises us. What appears to be a detour may become part of the transformation.

The path is never straight.

FROM IMAGINATION TO FORM

Conceived as an original digital sculpture, The Magician is brought into physical form through 3D printing, careful preparation and hand-applied patina. Each finish gives the same sculptural form a different atmosphere, revealing new relationships between gesture, texture, light and symbolism.
